Press Release:  Don Tracy Once Again Shows He’s Wrong for Illinois

Springfield, IL — In case you missed Don Tracy’s recent interview, the Democratic Party of Illinois recapped it for you:

“Don Tracy symbolizes the big problem with the Illinois Republican Party–they frame Democrats as the boogeyman, while providing no solutions to the ‘problems’ they rattle off,” said DPI Chair Lisa Hernandez. “He wants to position himself and his Party as one of integrity while simultaneously supporting Donald Trump and MAGA Republicans, the people who have objectively made day to day living more violent, more expensive, and more divisive for Illinoisans.”   

Don Tracy respects Donald Trump, who:

• Has withheld federal dollars from Tracy’s own state in political punishment

• Has stood by and supported ICE as they have detained law-abiding residents and U.S. citizens

• Has failed Illinois farmers with his trade war

• Spearheaded cuts to Illinoisans’ health care and food assistance

Don Tracy detests subsidies and the poorly spent dollars, but is silent on:

• Taxpayer money wasted on National Guard deployments

• Trump’s Argentina bailout while he undercuts Illinois farmers

Don Tracy believes Illinois Democrats led a rebellion against the federal government, but:

• Supports Donald Trump who led a rebellion against the federal government

Don Tracy claims Republicans back law enforcement, but:

• Is silent as Trump and Republicans cut over $800 million in federal public safety and crime prevention grants nationally
