Springfield, IL — Four days left until Primary Election Day, and the Democratic Party of Illinois continues to work to ensure every single Illinois voter gets the help they need to make their voice heard by Tuesday. Over 100 calls to 855-IL-VOTES have been answered by DPI’s Voter Protection Team and dedicated volunteers, with dozens more expected. The Voter Protection Team assists voters of various backgrounds—rural, elderly, Spanish-speaking and more—with their vote-by-mail, voter registration, and voting location inquiries.
“Republicans both nationally and here at home work to make Illinois voters feel less confident in our electoral system and more confused about their rights,” said DPI Chair Hernandez. “Illinois Democrats paint a stark contrast. Every single day leading up to the primary, we’ve been educating voters and answering any questions they have about submitting their ballots. Empowering the electorate is a core part of our work as a state party, and we take it seriously.”

The Party’s voter protection services also include statewide voter protection trainings, robust volunteer recruitment, and multiple public service announcements on a USPS postal change to help ensure every voter can cast their ballot successfully.
