:  On Saturday, DPI to Give Away Baby Supplies with The Doula Lab, Candidate George McClellan

Illinoisans can support via baby registry

Belleville, IL — This Saturday, the Democratic Party of Illinois is hosting a community baby shower in Belleville in collaboration with The Doula Lab and 114th House District candidate George McClellan. Metro-East caregivers will be able to select free infant supplies to help keep themselves and their babies healthy.

“I encourage Democrats and volunteers to contribute what they can to our community event. Every bib, breast pump or baby bottle goes to parents and babies. Collective action is how we support families, and I’m proud to do it alongside The Doula Lab and candidate McClellan,” said DPI Chair Lisa Hernandez.  

This upcoming community event continues Illinois Democrats’ focus on the Black maternal health crisis. From legislation to community events like this one, Illinois Democrats are clear: our current maternal health disparities are unacceptable and we are fighting to turn the tide.
