Press Release:  Organize Illinois 2026 Enters Final 100 Days with 100,000 Doors, 100,000 Voter IDs, 100,000 Recruitment Calls, 100,000 DVC Calls, 100 Youth Fellows, and 100 Impact 1:1s

Springfield, IL — As Illinois Democrats mark less than 100 days until Election Day, the Democratic Party of Illinois’s coordinated campaign, Organize Illinois 2026, has reached several major milestones, knocking on over 100,000 doors, collecting over 100,000 voter IDs for Democratic candidates up and down the ballot, completing over 100,000 recruitment calls, making over 100,000 direct voter contact calls, cultivating over 100 Youth Fellows, and holding 100 1:1s with leaders representing Black, Latino, and other communities across the state.

This achievement comes after the coordinated campaign organized over a dozen events statewide to mark 100 days until Election Day.

“As a Party, we take nothing for granted,” said DPI Chair Lisa Hernandez. “In order to listen to the issues that matter to voters, inform them about the Democrats on the ballot and to ultimately win in November, we have to actually connect with communities. This cycle we’ve been all hands on deck in every part of the state.”

“This is a testament to the power of early organizing, and we will continue to build on that momentum all the way to Election Day,” said DPI Coordinated Campaign Director Evelyn Smith. “Through Organize Illinois 2026, the Party is building lasting infrastructure and authentic connections in communities across Illinois, and mobilizing the volunteers we need to win this November.”

Since launching this spring, Organize Illinois 2026 has:

• Knocked on 109,149 doors in 26 counties across Illinois

• Obtained 110,533 voter IDs through canvassing, phone banking, and texting

• Completed 112,670 recruitment and 108,448 direct voter contact calls

• Recruited 130 Youth Fellows to lead outreach efforts to young Democrats statewide

• Held 100 1:1s with leaders representing Black, Latino, AANHPI, LGBTQI+, and other Illinois communities

• Opened 20 field offices in all six regions of Illinois (Downstate, Central Illinois, Northwestern Illinois, North Collar Counties, South Collar Counties, and Chicago)

• Organized over 600 events, including canvass launches, phone banks, trainings, and community gatherings

This coordinated campaign supports Democratic federal, state, and local candidates, mobilizes voters, and engages communities around the issues that matter most in the upcoming election.
