Democratic Party of Illinois Chair Lisa Hernandez released the following statement following the victories of Elizabeth Rochford and Mary Kay O’Brien in the races for the State Supreme Court:

With these wins, we defended our critical majority on the Court — a Court which will make crucial decisions on reproductive freedoms, elections, and so much more. Illinoisans are better off with these two qualified women on our State Supreme Court.”
