Democratic Party of Illinois Chair Lisa Hernandez released the following statement following Governor Pritzker and Lieutenant Governor Stratton’s victory in the gubernatorial race:
“Four years ago, Governor Pritzker and Lieutenant Governor Stratton promised to put Illinois back on the side of working families — and that’s exactly what they’ve done.”

From protecting reproductive freedoms to raising the minimum wage to securing billions in tax relief for hard working Illinoisans, the Governor and Lieutenant Governor have not only followed through on their promise, but have far exceeded it.”
