Chicago, IL — The Democratic Party of Illinois is excited to announce the launch of Organize Illinois 2024, a coordinated campaign that will help elect Democrats up and down the ballot this November including U.S. Representatives Nikki Budzinski (IL-13) and Eric Sorensen (IL-17) and LaToya Greenwood for State Representative (IL-114). Organize Illinois 2024 will help drive Democratic turnout across the state through seven figure investments in paid communications, organizing staff, and voter protection efforts. This coordinated campaign will support Democratic federal, state, and local candidates, mobilize voters, and engage communities around the issues that matter most in the upcoming election.

“The Democratic Party of Illinois is focused on engaging voters all across the state, winning up and down the ticket, and maintaining support for Illinois Democrats,” said Chair Lisa Hernandez. “It’s simple for DPI: we believe in the importance of local elections, from our two frontline congressional races, to protecting our supermajorities in the General Assembly, and down to the smallest districts. By fighting for down-ballot wins, DPI is helping ensure that pro-worker, pro-choice, and pro-working family Democrats represent our great state.”

“The 2024 election is about our rights, our freedoms and our future. By electing Democrats up and down the ballot, we can restore reproductive rights, protect Social Security and Medicare, preserve our democracy and prioritize the needs of working people,” said Nikki Budzinski. “I’m thrilled to have the support of the Democratic Party of Illinois as we fight to win critical races like mine in Illinois’ 13th District and deliver a Democratic Congress and White House in November. Coordinated efforts like Organize Illinois 2024 will play a crucial role in our success.”

“I am proud to be running to represent the 114th in the Illinois State House and I’m grateful to have the Democratic Party of Illinois’ support,” said LaToya Greenwood. “From pushing for access to equitable health care, to advocating for our unions, to fighting for education investments, there is more work to be done. I can’t wait to get back to it.”

“We’ve identified our targeted races and set up regional tables where we will regularly check in with local party leaders, campaign leaders and Democratic stakeholders on how to help further their campaigns,” said DPI Coordinated Campaign Director Dovile Cather. “Whether that be through coordinating volunteer door to door walks, days of action, phone banking activities, or disseminating information to the electorate, Organize Illinois 2024 will help get the Democratic message out and get voters to the polls.”

Organize Illinois 2024 allows Democratic candidates to strategically collaborate on voter communications and voter engagement strategies to target and turn out voters. More information on the program can be found in this one-pager.
