Chicago, IL — Ahead of the March 19 Primary Election, the Democratic Party of Illinois is launching a voter protection hotline in an effort to ensure every Illinoisan can fairly cast their ballot. Voters can contact the hotline with any questions, concerns, or problems with voting they have to report. The hotline will be managed by the DPI staff and recruited volunteers and it will be accessible in English and Spanish.

Voters can reach the DPI Voter Protection Hotline by calling 855-IL-VOTES (855-458-6837).

Governor Pritzker, Comptroller Susana Mendoza, Treasurer Mike Frerichs, and Democrats in the General Assembly have put Illinois’ finances back on track over the past five years, with nine credit rating upgrades, five balanced budgets, an eliminated bill backlog, and over $2 billion invested in our Rainy Day Fund. Democrats continue to prove their commitment to uplifting Illinois’ working families and delivering real progress for all Illinoisans,” said DPI Chair Lisa Hernandez.

In addition to the hotline, DPI has recruited volunteer attorneys who will be available to provide resources in the event of escalated voting challenges or illegal barriers to voting.

The DPI Voter protection hotline will be available as of  March 4, 2024 and run through the Primary Election on March 19, 2024. For specific hotline hours and answers  to frequently asked questions about voting, voters can also visit www.ildems.com/vote.
