Chicago, IL — DPI Chair Lisa Hernandez released the following statement on the results of Illinois’ Democratic Primary Election:
“I want to offer my sincere gratitude to every Democrat who ran for office this year at every level of government. Running for office is no easy task, and thank all those who brought their visions for a thriving and forward looking Illinois to their communities this year. Congratulations to those who will advance to the November General Election–we look forward to supporting our Democratic candidates in defeating Republicans up and down the ballot.
“The choice for voters could not be clearer come November. Democrats have delivered meaningful progress for working families from education and health care to public safety and reproductive rights and we must fight to maintain and continue that progression,” said DPI Chair Lisa Hernandez.
