Today, the Democratic Party of Illinois (DPI) announced the formation of a search committee for DPI’s new executive director. The committee is composed of Democratic State Central Committee members representing diverse communities and constituencies across the state.

The members of the Democratic State Central Committee Transition and Search Committee are as follows:

  •  Ald. Michelle Harris, Chair (1st Congressional District)
  • Hon. Carol Ronen, Vice Chair (9th Congressional District)
  • Hon. Michael Cudzik, Member (8th Congressional District)
  • Rep. Delia Ramirez, Member (3rd Congressional District)
  • Hon. Glenn Poshard, Member (12th Congressional District)

“I want to thank our Interim Executive Director, Ben Hardin, whose execution of our plans and programs resulted in a historic midterm cycle with critical wins for Illinois Democrats,” said DPI Chair Lisa Hernandez. “Now, I’m grateful for the partnership of our Democratic State Central Committee in selecting a new executive director to harness our momentum and continue our work to move our state forward.”

Over the next months, the committee will be responsible for reviewing all executive director applications and conducting interviews to recommend three qualified candidates to Chair Hernandez. The comprehensive job posting for the executive director position can be found HERE.

The new, full-time executive director will serve as a key part of DPI’s continued mission to establish a strong, inclusive party and build on its transformative progress, even in the off-cycle.
