Chicago, IL —  As more than 400 Democratic leaders from across the country visited Chicago this week to preview the Democratic National Convention, Democratic Party of Illinois Chair Lisa Hernandez joined Convention Chair Minyon Moore and state party chairs from Midwest battleground states to highlight the role of Midwest Democrats in bringing the story of the party and President Biden to the American people at this year’s DNC.

“Chicago is a Democratic stronghold that has given us so many Democratic legends. It represents the diversity of the Democratic Party and America,” said Chair Hernandez.

She continued: “Chicago is a union town in the heart of the heartland, where we can tell the real stories of how Democrats are improving the lives of working families. In August, we’ll tell the story of how the Biden-Harris administration’s Investing in America agenda is improving lives, including right here in Chicago.”
